    WILL IT BE POSSIBLE FOR A ACOUSTIC SAND DETECTOR TO DETECT SAND WITH WATER ? HOW ?

    Yes it is possible. Sand is a high density material (definitely dense than most if not all liquids), therefore an acoustic signal wave going throough it should be able to register quite well.
